13,000-gallon (59,000 litre) Eric system in France.

Vince who owns the pond in question has produced this video. I had the opportunity of visiting the pond last summer together with other Eric ponds in the area.

This pond base has three diffuser drains and each is linked to a separate Eric Three filter system. The flow-rate through each filter is a measly 1,733 gph (7,800 lph) so running costs are low.

Vince uses a constant trickle of mains water into the pond to compensate for the pond water dumped to waste. He discharges one Eric Three unit per day, which means only 85 gallons (386 litres) are dumped daily in less than two minutes.

This represents a weekly water change of 595 gallons (2,704 litres), which computes to only a minute 4.5% water change per week!

Thanks must go to Vince for producing the video.

Waddy.
